The Anthropology Section of the School of African and Gender Studies, Anthropology and Linguistics (AXL) at the
University of Cape Town is pleased to invite applications for a full-time 18 month contract, at Lecturer level. The
position has been vacant from 1 January 2016 and the School would like to make an appointment as soon as
possible.

Anthropology at UCT has a strong record of teaching and research in Social-Cultural Anthropology, focusing largely
but not exclusively on Southern Africa, with growing links across the Global South.
