CROSSING BORDERS – BLURRING BOUNDARIES

Hosted by the Rhodes University Anthropology Department

Rhodes University, Grahamstown

29th June - 2nd July 2014

Preliminary call for papers and panels:

For next year's ASnA Conference, to be hosted by the Rhodes department of anthropology from 29 June - 2 July, 2014 in Grahamstown, we invite proposals for papers and panels broadly addressing the theme of 'Crossing borders – blurring boundaries'. Within this rubric, we especially encourage participants to consider the ways in which new work in African/Africanist anthropology is reorienting and revitalizing the discipline.

Please send proposals for papers or for panels to the organizers by 10 March 2014. The organisers are particularly interested in receiving panel proposals. Proposals should include abstracts of no more than 250 words. For panel proposals, please include a list of prospective participants and their institutional affiliations if these have already been identified.

Send your abstracts and panel proposals to: asna2014@ru.ac.za
