Post for anthropological researcher with ecotourism company

I am Wilderness Safaris' Regional Community Development and Culture Co-ordinator. Part of my role is the integration of local culture into our 60+ high-end ecotourism camps in seven countries: Botswana, Congo, Namibia, Malawi, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

I am looking to hire someone who would like to research the impacts of ecotourism on local culture, but at the same would assist in implementing our Culture Strategy; which would include collecting information on the +-27 different communities that we work with, writing various documents, blogs, etc. related to this. We would also like to know how to better integrate local culture into our business, without commodifying them, and ensuring that we are having a net positive impact. Ideally, I would like someone who has experience working in southern Africa, is good at research and writing, but also has skills in implementation and working with people. There will be application and interview process followed for the position.

Thanks and regards,
Sue Snyman
